〜まといの会〜

2017年7月、同世代の和楽器奏者が気兼ねなく集まれる“場”として発足。
会名は、江戸時代に火消し達が自らの所在を示すために使用していた「纏」に由来し、ここでいう「纏」とは各自が背負う所属団体のことをいう。和楽器をはじめ、和の文化に携わる「纏人（まといびと）」達が、演奏だけではない場において、多様な交流を行うことを目的としており、シンボルマークにはそれぞれが大切に掲げてきた「纏」をそっと持ちより、新たな交わりが生まれる場であり続けたいという想いが込められている。

~Matoi no kai~
Founded in July,2017,Matoi no Kai is a gathering of taiko players that values the exchanges of ideas and networking with one another.
The members all come from their own respective groups,and come together as Matoi no Kai under the theme of community gathering through taiko.
Because of this,the performers wear costumes and represent their own groups when they perform together.
The name,Matoi no Kai,comes from the fire brigade in the Edo period, waving their matoi (flags) as a symbol to draw attention to others.

In this case,the ‘matoi’ is what each member holds,as they represent their own groups back home.
Hence,the name Matoi no Kai was born,as a gathering of taiko friends each with a different “flag” to wave as part of their identity.
